Scope of Work

Museo Pambata asks a serious question in a joyful register: how should a national museum for children introduce itself to the imagination?

Process

Idea

The answer begins with Ibong Adarna, the luminous bird of Philippine folklore whose song unsettles the ordinary and sends a listener on their way. It is not treated as a mascot, but as a living premise for the institution.

System

The identity gives that premise room to travel. Colour, typography, form, and illustration work as an open vocabulary, capable of becoming a threshold, a ticket, a learning tool, a wayfinding cue, or an invitation to linger over one more question. The system is built for movement and discovery, while retaining the composure expected of a national cultural space.

Behaviour

There is an important discipline beneath the play. Children are addressed with generosity, never with condescension. Families encounter information with clarity and a few well-placed surprises. The visual language can carry the warmth of a folktale and the rigor of a public institution, making each encounter feel both immediate and worth returning to.

For Museo Pambata, branding is not a coat applied to the building. It is part of the museum's welcome: a coherent world that makes culture feel approachable, local knowledge feel alive, and the next act of curiosity feel within reach.
